How it All Started
The “About Us” story is really a testimony of how God used a small nudge in my Spirit and gave me the faith to plant a small seed. In 2019, I was literally in my prayer closet, praying over the situation of a patient I was caring for when this was spoken to me. You see; I have been a Home Health nurse since 2015 and during that time, I developed lots of close relationships with my patients. Their burdens would become my burdens. When they would weep, I would weep. When they rejoiced, I rejoiced. During that time of prayer, God silently whispered “You do something”. So, at 12:00 midnight, the Lord put in my spirit to start Grey to Glory. The very next day I immediately went through the process of starting a nonprofit 501©(3). Many of my patients needed more than what I could offer as a case manager with a home health agency but they weren’t quite in full need of a nursing home and so I felt stuck. Grey to Glory was birthed out of that burden. We delivered meals, we built ramps, we made visits. Then my life got too busy and I became distracted.
Flash forward to the year 2023. I found myself in a management position that I believe the Lord led me to, but by about 6mths, I felt the shift in my Spirit. I ignored the shift and by the end of 2023, I was miserable. Through a wave of different confirmations and digging into the Word, I quit my job. No plans for what I would do, only that I knew I had a clear word from the Lord to leave. Shortly after, the Lord brought Grey to Glory back to the forefront of my mind. I just knew what I had to do. My husband listened as I cried over this calling but his response, I will always remember; “if God told you to do it then we got to do it”. Grey to Glory Home Health was created with lots and lots of prayers and a desire to see our elderly patients cared for. God has given me a calling to care for a population that is forgotten, a population that believes they no longer have worth. Grey to Glory Home Health will pour funds into the sister nonprofit organization that was created in 2020 (Grey to Glory Inc.). My mission is the same. To have every aspect of elderly needs obtained. I want my life to have purpose and I believe God has given me the ability to run both a profitable home health agency and a nonprofit that will bridge that gap.
How are we different from the competitors? We can offer both skilled services and non-skilled. We can service both insured and uninsured who wish to pay. We can do more by offering nonprofit services to our clients. None of the competitors can give you that. None of the competitors can say that their funds support our small communities. The owners of the competitors are not local, they are not personal. Let our small “mom and pop” agency provide your services. We are licensed and accredited and will exceed your expectations. God used a small seed of faith & now we will just watch as he provides the rain.
Our Mission
Grey to Glory Home Health supports and cares for the families in the communities in which we live, making sure that every elderly client is seen as, not just our “grey” haired peer, but one who has been “crowned with Glory” by our Creator (Proverbs 16:31).
Our Vision
Grey to Glory Home Health will exceed the needs of our patients, assist them in achieving their highest level of health and function possible and respect their rights, privacy, and dignity in the process.
