F&Q

1. How do I go about starting skilled services?
In order to obtain a skilled service (Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, or therapist)
you will have to have seen your provider within 90 days and your doctor will need to send us over a referral specifying the need for the service. All referrals can be emailed over to [email protected].

2. What if my doctor recommends another home health agency?
Your choice of home health agency should be honored by your doctor or your hospital discharge
planner. It is law that you have a right to choose what agency you want to provide your services. You simply make your choice known and if you are contacted by any other agency then kindly tell them you have chosen another agency. Any questions, please feel free to call & we will help you with the process.

3. How do I pay for services?
Skilled services (Registered Nurses, Licensed practical nurses, or therapists) will be billed to your
insurance. Grey to Glory Home Health is one of the only home health agencies in the area that goes the extra mile to provide private pay services (if you no longer qualify to have insurance billed) or if you are un-insured.

4. What is the difference between skilled services and caretaking services?
Skilled Services are needs that require a doctors order and supervision by a phsyician (such as
wound care, catheter managment, disease process education, etc). With skilled services we work with your doctor to be that bridge between doctor and home. Caretaking services are services that are typically private pay and can be done by unlicensed individuals. Grey to Glory Home Health will pour funds into its’ non-profit organization Grey to Glory, Inc to temporarily help with clients in our communities’ that are in need of these services. Please call with further questions.

5. How long will insurance pay for my skilled service?
This is a weighted question, but to make it short and sweet: Insurance will pay for services as
long as their remains a skilled need. For example, a patient with a Suprapubic catheter can stay on services as long as they remain homebound and the catheter continues to require monthly changes as ordered by the provider. On the opposite end, a patient cannot stay on services for something as simple as pill box set up. Pill box set ups are not a skilled service and therefore home health agencies cannot keep patients on services for things of that nature. Skilled nurses may come into the home and educate the patient/cg to properly set up the pill box and teach regarding medication uses and management however once that goal has been met, discharge is needed. With that said, Grey to Glory Home Health offers private pay features that would allow a patient/cg to private pay for this service. Grey to Glory Home Health also pours funds into its’ nonprofit organization, Grey to Glory Inc. to temporarily help with things of this nature. Please call us with further questions.

6. What makes Grey to Glory Home Health different then the other home health agencies in this area?
Grey to Glory is the only home health agency in this area that is locally owned. Grey to Glory
Home Health is also the only agency whose proceeds go to help fund the nonprofit sister organization, Grey to Glory Inc, that offer other services to help our elderly (i.e weekly meal delivery, etc). There are no corporate CEOs to pay, just home-grown clinicians who take every concern as personal as they would if it weren’t their own loved one.
